Chief CBN Onwuasoanya Ezendigbo, the founder of Better Nigeria for Better People and a presidential runner in the country's most recent general elections, said that the practice of contesting the Supreme Court's decision in an attempt to obtain justice is absurd for Nigerian courts.

"In only a case you'll get three judgements with different court, it's sad to note that after the supreme court has delivered judgement people still approach the federal high court for judgement," Ezendigbo said in a statement issued on Saturday, characterizing the action as corrupt.

Approximately 90% of Nigeria's elections have resulted in legal disputes. Although the judiciary is the last resort for the average citizen, it would be preferable to let judges choose the leaders at the federal, state, and local levels since most elections ever conducted ends up in litigation.
