The Senegalese President Diomaye Faye called on President Adama Barrow at his hotel in Dakar. The two engaged in a private meeting, focusing on matters of mutual interest aimed at enhancing the bilateral relationship and fostering the spirit of brotherhood between The Gambia and Senegal.
The meeting was held on the eve of the 80th commemoration of “Tirailleurs Senegalais” in remembrance of the French massacre in 1944 of World War II veterans over unpaid wages.
President Barrow is among the invited Heads of State to participate in the official ceremony on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Thiaroye.
