Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has lambasted Kemi Badenoch, the newly elected leader of the UK Conservative Party, for her disparaging comments about Nigeria.
Speaking at the 10th Annual Migration Dialogue in Abuja, Shettima expressed disappointment over Badenoch’s remarks, saying she has the right to her opinions, but also has the option to “remove the Kemi from her name ”.
Kemi Badenoch who was in the race to replace prime minister Boris Johnson, seemed not to be pleased by the way politicians in Nigeria are leading the Nation.
It could be recalled that Kemi Badenoch remarked during her race to number 10 Downing Street, that she left Nigeria to pursue her dream where true democracy is allowed to practice in the world, a statement which didn't go well with Hon. Abike Dabiri , the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), who later expressed her disappointment in Kemi Badenoch's remarks.
Opinion;
Badenoch remarks about Nigeria may be to readjust the system, even though as she complained about how she was neglected when she needed the Nigeria mostly, but that doesn't stop her career in the British politics.
