Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has stated that the organisers of event in Ibadan stampede which claimed about 35 children must face trail, even as people are reaching out to him that Anambra and FCT did not make any arrest over similar matters
.
According to governor Makinde, "35 innocent children died at the funfair stamp£de. The organizers must go on trial. A lot of people have been reaching out to me that Anambra and FCT did not make any arrest when the same inc!dent happened there."
"This is Oyo State. Even if Nigeria does not follow the rule of law, we shall uphold the rule of law. If the court thinks they can go on bail pending trial, I have nothing against it but they will surely go on trial. Justice must be served for those children."
